Hi!

Yesterday I installed the EasyDiscuss extension, and it seems to be working just fine

But I have an issue with the display of the discussion sites on my web page. Take a look at the link below, and you'll see that the images/icons are missing in the tool/menu line (that is: the line/bar with options to choose "discussions", "categories", "tags" and so on). There is nothing wrong with the links from this tool/menu bar - but I can't see the actual icons, and this problems of course makes the tool/menu bar very hidden to the users.

Take a look here to see the issue.

I am not sure if the issue is present in all browsers. Currently I use Internet Explorer 9.

I guess the display issue is caused by some CSS conflict with the template, and I need some advice on how to resolve this issue.

I use Joomla 2.5.19, and have a fully updated Rocket Theme template: Ximenia.

I can provide you with admin access information if you need it, but then need to know where to post it (a mail adress or other secure way of leaving it to you).

Thank you very much for your response in advance.
Hello Hjelptilhjelp,

You're welcome, Hmm, because I have tried open your site in my IE9 browser, it seems like the Easydiscuss toolbar the icon is display correctly

Based on your replies, only one computer + IE9 browser hitting this issues right?

Also, you can put the your Joomla backend and FTP access in the optional information field below. Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information. So we can tried reproduce in IE9 browser and see how it goes.

hello Ove Heradstveit ,

Thanks for using our product
Can you provide some screenshot regarding with your current issues? because it seems like showing fine for me in IE9, check my screenshot below.

If I'm not getting wrong your meaning, can you try recompile the stylesheet from your backend > Easydiscuss > Settings > layout > general > test compile stylesheet > select admin/site/module > click test compile .After you done it, then go to your backend > Easydiscuss > Dashboard > clear cache
Then go to your backend > System > clear cache / and clear your browser cache and reload again with your site and see how it goes.

Hi!

Thank you for a quick response

I have attached a kind of screenshot of the page with the missing menu/toolbar items. The good thing is that the site is displayed correctly on most of the browsers I have tried - it is only one computer / browser which displays the web site wrongly.

The question is therefore what might cause the wrong displaying of the site on the computer with IE9 as browser. I tried the solution with cleaning all caching on the site, but that didn't work.

Is there anything else I can do to figure out what might causing this issue?

Hello Hjelptilhjelp,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have double check with another laptop which have IE9 browser, it seems like the toolbar icon is display nicely.
But I have tried to cleanup your cache from your Joomla administrator site, can you cleanup your IE9 browser cache and see how it goes?

Hi again!

Thank you for checking it up once more. Seems in other words that the display issue is very much specific to a single computer and its settings.

I realized however that the EasyDiscuss section left a blank page when I now was trying to use it (and this was a problem present in all browsers), so I had a look at the configuration in the EasyDiscuss backend. Had to changed the settings (Settings -- Layout -- General) for the "compile stylesheet" from "cache" to "off." Then the EasyDiscuss section is again loading fine, and all is okay.

In other words, I regard the display issue as solved. Thank you very much for your kind support!
