Hi,

I have the following problems running Feed Importer cronjobs:

1: I can import feeds manually, by executing them in the Feed Importer dialog, but not via cronjobs. My host (siteground) said to use this syntax:

wget -O /dev/null "http://silvergoldadvisor.com index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed"

But the feeds are not imported automatically.

2: When importing manually not all the posts in a feed is imported - only the latest, like in this feed url:

http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/rss.xml

Is there something wrong with the syntax to be used in EB?

Kindly,
Carsten
Hello Carsten,

I am not sure if this is a typo but the correct url should be

wget -O /dev/null "http://silvergoldadvisor.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed"

As for importing only the latest feed, EasyBlog only imports what it sees in the RSS feed. If the older items are not available in the feed, it wouldn't be able to import them.

Hi Mark,

Good to have your help again

I had the " " in the url before, but SiteGround support removed them - I have now added them again...

If you e.g. click the RSS-feed:

http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/rss.xml

- you will see several posts, which are not showing on my site:

http://silvergoldadvisor.com

Kindly,
Carsten

Hi,

I think I worked it out. With the " " removed and disabling compression.

Will see how it works over the next days and let you know if it's not.

Best,
Carsten
