Hello there,

There is a setting called "secure cronjon". I didnt understand this. Could you please tell me what is the difference between cronjob and secure cronjon?

Is following line correct? 'http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&task=cron'

Thanks and best regards,

Zafer
Hello Zafer,

Some users do not want anyone to access the cronjob url except for themselves and in order to do that, you need to enable the secure cronjob as you can define a custom text password on your cronjob link. If you don't use secure cronjobs, then the cronjob URL that you posted above is the correct URL

Hello Mark,

Thank you for the answer.

I would be glad if I could get your vote for this : http://stackideas.com/forums/descriptive-fields-on-profile

I believe that other ES users also would love to see such a field on profile theme as default.

Hello Zafer,

Hm, it's a pretty length thread and not really sure what is the issue there since you could actually customize it on your theme files eh?

Hello Mark,

It seems my cronjob doesnt work. System doesnt send email. I use this as command line: 'http://site.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&task=cron'

In the forum I also noticed this one: 'http://site.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true'

Which is correct? May the problem come from command line?

I checked easyblog cronjobs. It works well.

Hello Zafer,

For EasySocial, the cronjob URL would be 'http://site.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true'

Hello ikaelis,

You need to check with Siteground and see if the path to wget is /usr/bin/wget ?

Hi ikaelis,

If you're with SiteGround, try:

wget -O /dev/null "http://www.femmes-references.com/index.php?option= com_easysocial&cron=true"

I have a few plans with SiteGround too. Sometimes "/usr/bin/..." works, other times I find the above works.
