Hi there

I'm having trouble getting the cron to send email notifications out on EasyDiscuss. The cron is set up to run via CPanel (using the PHP instructions and with the url added to the cron.php as my host uses PHP cron commands rather than wget), and it's running the cron.php and sending me the "cron processed successfully" update, but the emails themselves are not sending and are sat as pending in the Email Activities box. They're also not sending if I trigger the cron manually.

I also tried adjusting the cron.php file to mirror the EasySocial cron.php (based on another recent report of a similar sounding issue) but that didn't change anything - still received the success email but none of the notifications were sent out.

FTP and site details added.

Many thanks in advance!
Tim
Hey Tim,

Can you give this a try again? I have made some modifications on the cron.php and it will work fine now.

Hi Mark

Perfect support as always! Many thanks they're sending correctly now,

Is this something I'll need to keep a note of and adjust the cron.php if the file's overwritten after future updates?

Many thanks for fixing this so quickly
Tim

You are most welcome Tim There is actually an issue with the cron.php in EasyDiscuss itself as it wasn't able to connect to the https version of the site. I have fixed this on your site and also addressed this internally, so you don't have to worry about upgrades in the future
