Hi

I'm trying to setup my cron jobs to process my easysocial emails. I'm fine until I get to the Linux command. What should to command be? Is there any tutorial that can help my with this challenge?

Thanks!
Hello James,

You can follow any one of these tutorials: http://docs.stackideas.com/administrators/cronjobs . Please remember to change the wget path since it is different for every hosting provider. You might want to consult your hosting provider about the wget path.

Hi Nick.

Thanks for the reply. Here is what I mailed to me host.

((Hi,

I still need help with the Cron jobs to process my emails. All the links I got from you is not what I'm looking for. When you go to your cron jobs in the cpanal. You can add the time you want to cron jobs to do its work. But there is a command line that needs to tell cron jobs what to do. What is the command line that I need to put in? Nothing of the links explains that to me. In the cron jobs it says

"Warning: You need to have a good knowledge of Linux commands before you can use cron jobs effectively. Check your script with your hosting administrator before adding a cron job.'

So know I'm asking can you please help me with the script so that cron jobs can process my social network emails??
Thanks for all the help so far.

James))

This is the replay I got.

((Hello,

I understood that you are trying to setup a cron job on one of your domains and you need the "Command" to make the cron job active.
If so, please be informed that we are not into development so we could not assist with the coding issue. Kindly contact your developer for assistance regarding this issue.
It is a coding related requirement. So you need to contact your developer for the cron job script.
After getting the script from your developer, kindly get back to us with the details. Then we will add the same for you.))

Nick can you maybe help me with the scrip for my cron jobs? Or just give my a link to download Linux commands pdf, something I can read and get the info I need.

Thanks James

Hello James,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
May i know this post thread issues is it same as http://stackideas.com/forums/purge-all ?
By the way, I have tested manually run the cron command, it seems like your server response me back the message is connection success.
After you get back to us, can you reply on this thread http://stackideas.com/forums/purge-all as well? Because you already provide your site details information, so that we can focus on that post thread.

Hi Arlex

I'm sorry for the confusion. Excitement for getting everything to work is high. . I read through all the cron jobs challenges that you and the team help fixed, and I got my emails to work. . I had a problem that my host keeps blocking my Ip, but I hope what know that my email are up and running ,that my Ip wont be blocked any more. So when I used purge all, my Ip was trying to access the host with all the emails all at once. The other thing is, after I forwarded the login detail for my site to you, I got a mail back to say that my mail was not send. So I thought what you did not receive the detail, so I deleted the user a made for you. But thanks for the help. I will get back to you if my Ip blocks again.

Hello James,

I really wish I could assist you with this but the only way to fix this is to get your hosting provider to let you know why they are automatically banning your ip address. These bans are happening on your hosting provider level and there's really nothing we can do about this (I really wish we could help though)

Hi Mark.

The Hosting company gave me a call and we had a chat about the challenge, now everything is good.
