Hi we are trying to enable Cron and IMAP so that we can get notifications distributed to forum discussion participants. We have set up both and we have a host that supports IMAP. We ran the "test connection" and it came out positive (no errors). We have put numerous comments and replies into the forum, but have not yet received any email notifications about forum activity. Can we get help?
Hello Martin,

I think you may have misunderstood this functionality for the imap. You do not need to have IMAP to send out e-mail notifications. You just need to enable the cronjob so that e-mails are dispatched out.

IMAP is only required if you want to process incoming e-mails as discussions

Yes this is exacltly what we want.
However the cronjobs aren't being dispatched so we can't test to see if the topics can be responded to in email and processed as discussions

Hello Martin,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

It seems to be working OK now. The problem was not with EasyDiscuss, but with the email account that we had set to operate with EasyDiscuss. That account was not configured properly.
