I am on joomla 2.5 website and installed easyblog with success. Have published the blog and it dsiplays the first sample post. Now i created a post myself and it is being stripped after saving /publishing it. Looking at the front end only the title appears..Whats going on?
Dear sirs
I'm facing the same problem and I am at 3.9.15633

So the problem in your javascript is not solved!

Please tell what should I do to fix it. Don't tell me just to buy the latest version, because it is your responsibility, since it is a faulty software, you should provide the correct solution, regardless of the version acquired. Please be professionals and support all your users. Don't forget I paid for a year. My subscription just ended a few days ago (28 May).

Regards

Hello Matore,

Firstly, as mentioned in the ticket, this issue has nothing to do with EasyBlog and it's your faulty upgrade which leads to missing files (due to permissions issues on your site) . Regardless if it is an issue with your site or our site, please do understand that we provide software as-is. Simply because you THINK that the software is faulty, does not mean that we MUST provide support for the site.

As quoted in the same exact reply as the ticket, please find my reply below

Hello Matore,

Firstly, I do apologize if Justin's reply was rude or if it was uncalled for and I totally understand your frustrations . However, most of the time, when user requests for support, the issues are probably related to their environment and in your case it is indeed related to your hosting environment because there is some permission issues with your /media/ folder which messed up with the upgrade. Which eventually causes the blog storing to fail. I have fixed this issue on the site by re-uploading those missing files and the blog storing should work fine now.

I do hope that you would consider renewing your license because we too need to pay our support / development team as well.

Thank you for understanding and please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconveniences caused.

I feel that this is a cop out to providing better support for your product. You built a blog system for joomla not a standalone blogging system. You can't build a joomla component and then say the issues are with Joomla. Thats just crazy talk.

Hello Jeff,

Not really sure if I understand you here but Matore's issue has nothing to do with Joomla and not really sure what has this got to do with Joomla? The problem is because there is a folder on his site that wasn't writable so basically no scripts can write to the folders and his subscription has already expired. It doesn't make sense for us to update your site to the latest version because you think that the software is faulty while it isn't
