Hi...

I need to create a post template that is related to a specific category.
So when the author opens it, the correct category is already selected and also the post cover image is already ther (but could be changed if the author wants)
Is it possible?
Hey there,

It is impossible to do this currently at this point of time.

Unfortunately that is not possible to assign specific category for different post template.

And that is not possible to set the post cover from the creating post template page.

Regarding post cover, what if you set to display placeholder image on your blog post page, so you can use your own custom placeholder image and if they dislike this default placeholder image, then they can manually upload their own post cover image.

To set this default placeholder image, you can refer this documentation link :

https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/customizations/placeholder-image-overrides

Hope this will help.

Thanks, but we need a different placeholder for each category.
By creating a specific template for each category, we can assign the template to the authors of each category, and if the template is already populated with the "default" cover, then the process is quick and nothing gets forgotten or miscategorised.

Some what related to the topic but not quiet...
Were can I find the post template thumbnails?
If I copy a template the thumbnail gets copied also, but if I edit the template to my liking's and save it, I get the blank post thumb.
And I want the video thumb displayed, (edited that one for youtube vids)

Thanks

Hey Appie,

It seems that I am able to replicate it.

I will log this into our issue tracker.

And I want the video thumb displayed, (edited that one for youtube vids)

Regarding this quoted, can you start a new ticket for a new thread and explain further regarding this so that we can have a better understanding of it?
