Hi!

I installed Easyblog and migrated my K2 categories and items. Now I needed some more categories. I created a new main category for my german items/blogs and one for my english items/blog. Then I recognized that the description from the created german category was in the description field of the english category. I had to delete it before entering the new description. Is it possible to start with a blank description field when creating a new category?

Sincerely,
Volker
Hello Volker,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I tested again with JCE with no issues. http://screencast.com/t/EAjh7xfheSPd Can you confirm this? Please advice.

Thanks!

Hello Volker,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I am sorry but I am a little lost here. When you create a new category, by default the description is already empty. Am I missing anything here?

I created a new category, the description was empty, so I entered some text. Then I saved the category (save and new), an new category was created but the text in the description was still there.

Hello Volker,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, that's strange. When I tried to create a new category and hit the "Save & New" button, the category description is no longer in the textarea. May I know which Joomla version are you running on and which editor are you currently using on the site?

Hello Mark,

I am using Joomla 3.2 and JCE 2.3.4.4 on a multilingual website. I am using Simple Image Gallery Pro, too

Hello Volker,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I tested this and it seems like TinyMCE is getting the previous descriptions and redisplaying them. The codes in EasyBlog does not send in teh Description value. I tested with JCE and this does not happen. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hello Adelene!

I am using JCE as my default editor, I checked this twice, but the description in the second category I create is the one from the category created before. Do I need to switch the editor usage anywhere else or just in my profile? The standard editor in the main control panale of joomla is set to JCE, too.

Best wishes,
Volker
