Is there an option to have a team as an author of a blog, or a page as an author?
Thanks
If you post a blog post and associate the post with a team blog, http://take.ms/yFh2y it will render the team's name in the blog listings.

Unfortunately right now you can't post as a page though.

Just following up on this as finding the Team blog very confusing! What we want to do is to create a team and then allow them to work on a Blog together and when it is published it will show the Team name as the author, but it just seems to show the name of whoever first created the Blog as the author, even when setting the Association to the team?

Hi Itamar,

Currently the teamblog is not showing in the post entry page like the frontpage view(http://take.ms/OvHvD).

I will log this in our tracker so we can add them into posts that are created by teamblogs.

Sorry I don't really understand what you are saying. If I create a menu link to display the Frontpage I still can't see the draft blog or a way to create a new Blog with Author as the Team name?

Hey Itamar,

I'm saying that in the post entry view, the teamblog that created the post is currently not showing and this is a bug.
If I create a menu link to display the Frontpage I still can't see the draft blog or a way to create a new Blog with Author as the Team name?
By menu link, you are referring to the menu item yes? The frontpage does not display draft posts but published teamblog posts can be displayed.

The author and teamname will always be separate(http://take.ms/vxYQj).

Okay so as I understand it then, there is no way for the author name to actually be the Teamblog name, which is what we were hoping (since people are interested in posts by the team, not necessarily by whoever the initial creator was) ?

Hey Itamar,
there is no way for the author name to actually be the Teamblog name
That is correct.

A workaround you may consider is hiding the post author from the listing/entry view, leaving the teamblog name visible(http://take.ms/RePfZ).

So this may be a stupid question, but we have a draft blog that is linked to a team, so how would any member of that team get to read/edit the draft?

Hey Itamar,

Currently it's not possible to read/edit a draft that is created by another teamblog member unless the viewer has moderation permission(http://take.ms/wXD4a).

Contribution in a teamblog currently basically means that members are able to create blog posts for the teamblog.

But it does make sense that a teamblog member, or at least a teamblog admin should be able to contribute to blog posts under the team.

I will log this in our tracker so we can improve this.

Yes it really feels like the Team Blog hasn't really been thought out very well! Our understanding was that a team could all work on one document (perhaps one person drafts and then others make suggestions and/or edits etc) and then when done it would be published under the Group as the author. As it stands at the moment it's probably better for us to just use Joomla articles instead of EasyBlog!

Thanks, I look forward to seeing an update at some point where a "Team" can actually work on a "Blog" and it actually becomes a "Team Blog" :-)
