We currently use JCE editor in EasyBlog - We are looking at starting to use Team Blogs.
I have set up a test team blog and I am trying to post into it.
I read the documentation
https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/how-tos/how-to-post-blog-into-team-blog
However, when I try to create a team blog post I do not get the option for Team blogs as per the documentation.
Is is because Team Blog only works with Easyblog's own Composer?

Kind regards
David
Currently we do not have a setting to set which category can be post in teamblog.

As long as the user have the permission to contribute a new blog in the teamblog, he can able to set what category he want to post to.

If you wouldn't like to show teamblog blog post in listing page, you can disable this from backend > Easyblog > setting > general > general > teamblogging > Include Posts From Team Blogs In Frontpage - NO

Hope this will help.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

For the composer author 'Associations' will appear regardless you use build-in composer or JCE editor, ensure that user account have permission to publish a new blog post under your teamblog.

1. You can check your current login user is under which Joomla user group
2. Then check your existing teamblog user group setting whether got set to the correct Joomla user group

You can refer at my attached screenshot below.

If the issue still persists, can you update your site backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?

Arlex,
Please do not apologize for the delay in responding, 2 reasons, 1, the problem is not urgent and 2, more importantly you are entitled to have the weekend off, just like anybody else!

All the Settings for the Team blog look ok. See screenshots See screenshots "Team Blog"
I can now find the Association See screenshot "Composer.png" . But when I compose the post , Easyblog insists on me entering one of our default categories, so the post gets posted under the category rather than the team blog???
If I untick the category Easyblog composer says I have to select a category. See screenshot "Composer Error.png"
Is there something else I need to do ???

KInd regards
David

Thanks for understanding David.

Oh, actually that is the default behaviour, no matter what blog post you publish on the site, it required to set at least one of the category for that blog post.

If you do not want this teamblog post accessible by public user, you can able to set that access from the teamblog configuration setting only allow team member can view it. http://take.ms/5DmJ7

Arlex, Ok so if I don't want team blogs to show under an existing category, I should create a separate category ( i.e. Category="Team Blogs" ). Then compose my team blogs under this category. Is that correct?

Also If I use a category for my team blogs, can I force all team blogs to go under that category?

KInd regards
David

HI Arlex,
Thanks for the explanations of how Team Blogs work. It was not quite how I expected it to work, but not a problem.
Kind regards
