Hey there,

I have been away for some months and just returned and wanted to update. I have some questions based on the filters. Are those finally working for all stream items or still for friends' items only?

I want to create my own filters based on the anywhere id created by the stream anywhere module. My idea is to replace the hashtag by the anywhere id for filtering the content. But of course this will be useless if the filter is working for friends' posts only as it have been before.

In case the filters are working for all items, could you please point me to the file that manages the filters based on hastags?

Yes, currently, it will shown you based on all users on the site. Here are files that you should check.

under $type == 'custom' on getstream() funtion
.../components/com_easysocial/controllers/dashboard.php

on function getHashTag() function
.../administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/streamfilter.php

Please advice.

Being able to filter the newsfeed with the filter by app only displays things from friends, wasn’t an issue was just correcting the fact that it isn’t for everyone but only for friends, the newsfeed you can have it display for every one but once your start using the filter by apps it’s only your friends.

It’s not a bug it’s not built into the system might will come on next update

I believed you are referring to filter by apps, and Sabih are referring to filer based on hashtag(created on the site). And yes, currently if filter by apps, it will only shown based on friends only.
