I tried to connect to the SFTP but it doesn't seem to work. Can you please advise? By the way, I think this could be due to translation issues because when logged in with English it seems to work.

However, I'm able to replicate this issue locally, where there is some mis-translation in italy language for the constant below:

COM_EASYBLOG_CATEGORIES_EDIT_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE_INFO="Template personalizzato permette di creare diversi file di temi in base alla voce di categoria che si sta visualizzando. Questo è utile quando si desidera visualizzare diversi temi quando l'utente accede ad una categoria diversa sul sito. Questo template sarà applicato per la <b> Visualizzazione dell'articolo </ b> e <b> la visualizzazione delle categorie </ b>."

where I've make language override for this become (in br tag suppose do not have any space in between slash and 'b') :
