Create a Discussion regarding an ES Event

Hi, am I right in saying that only the owner or a Superuser can create or start a discussion? Is it possible for a user to create one?

Also, does this link in to ED, or is it a standalone discussion within ES?

Firstly, I'm not see any event has created in your backend, so we can do some testing according to your current setting.
By the way, if you want member can create discussion you need to setting this as well: http://take.ms/gXH8K

It seems like users can’t even participate in a discussion under an event
Our users need to be able to create or at least be able to add to a discussion. Have I missed something while setting up our three sites??

Hey Julie,

If you are an attendee, super administrator, event administrator or an event owner, you would be able to create a discussion on the event

So someone after more information regarding an event, has to ‘attend’ the event before they can discuss it??

I notice from the backend of ES on this particular event, Elvis on Tour The Exhibition, that by default it is set to allow a ‘Maybe’.
I don’t see that option as a user, and would that affect if they can join in on a discussion?
