Hi there,
I have voted for the feature request to add an own cover photo for the videoblok. Now it is the first frame of the video, and that frame is mostly not suitable as cover photo.
Do you have plans to implement this features soon? And, in the meantime, are there other solutions to 'manipulate' the coverphoto of the video block?
Kind regards, T.W. van Urk
I am sorry that I misunderstood your initial question, and it is not possible to add the custom cover image for an internal video yet.

Currently, we do not have any plan to implement to get the first frame as a thumbnail when the user adds an internal video into the video block.

But by right it should show the very first frame in the front, you can check my screenshot here (screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/zuXGqmlHUkgjObjsoolYs7l1cE15tW ) is it your site doesn't show like this?

If yes, can you share with us the video file which you trying to show in the blog post?

Hi there,

Perheaps I was not clear enough!?

I do not want the first frame as cover photo!! You can see a video of me at la palma video. (scroll to the end of the article)

My purpose is to add a starting title at the video. So starting with a black screen with title. However, in that situation the cover photo in my article would be a black sreen.

I just want the possibility to choose a frame of my own choice, or the possibilty to add a another photo !

Kind Regards,
TW van Urk

Ok, clear answer!

But it would be a great addition. Hopefully you are able to implement this in a future update !?

We will see if we can do something about this in the next major release version.

Just for your information, I have locked and marked this thread as resolved to avoid confusion in the future. Please start a new thread if you have any other issues in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiries.

Thanks for understanding.
