I am using the RSS feeds from EasyBlog to feed another system. I am wondering if there is a setting or anyway out of the box for EasyBlog to include a blog postings 'cover photo' / main article photo in the feed for each respective item. Sometimes RSS feeds will use the '<enclosure>' tag, or a media tag to indicate that there is an attached image associated with this post.

I realize that the cover photo appears right in the start of the 'description' tag (so the cover photo is listed before the text content of the blog), but not in its own separate enclousre type tag. I can revamp my parser in the other system to extract this from the beginning, but if this functionality already exists it may be more reliable to have it from from its own tag in the RSS versus trying to parse it out from the '<description>' tag which also includes all the text.

I tried to search for an answer, figured this was something support could quickly answer with a yes/no so went ahead and asked!
Hi John,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we are occupied with a lot of things lately. Currently it is not possible to alter the feed importer behavior to get the image from post meta tag instead of post content .

Hi, thanks for reply but think you may have misunderstood my question. I meant the feed you get when you press "subscribe to blog" NOT the feed importer. I want to use EasyBlog as the main blog engine, and then use the feed it generates on another webpage not powered with EasyBlog. On the Stackideas demo page there is this feed: http://demo.stackideas.com/?format=feed&type=rss Here is where I would like to have the cover photo as an rss entity like "enclosure" or something, besides just having the cover photo as the first think in the "description/content"

It may not be possible either without some hacks but figured I would ask

Hey John-Paul,

I'm really sorry that missed up on this thread, correct me if I getting wrong your mean here, do you mean that when you trying to import feed from this URL (http://demo.stackideas.com/?format=feed&type=rss), the post cover didn't import in your site right?

If yes, unfortunately that was not possible at this point of time, but we will see if we can implement this in the future version.
