Can you check out the following link and see why this latest blog entry displays "Could not instantiate mail function" 5 times at the top of my post? I am using the php mailer instead of a cronjob due to GoDaddy. I have it set for 5 emails per page load and that is why there is probably the 5 lines. I received the email as an Administrator, but not as a site member. The blog is in the member portion of the site, so you will have to log in to see the post. I will enter the information below.
Hello Michael,

I had changed your mailer in Backend > Easyblog > Global Configuration > Server (tab)

Thanks:)

Khairul:
Thanks for investigating the issue. It seems to be working, but maybe you can explain why the switch had to be made. I have been with GoDaddy for much too long, and when I set up a new site I use their services to install Joomla. This means that they take care of the databases and all of the initial system settings so that Joomla will work on their shared serves. On all of my other sites it has PHPmail selected instead of SMTP and they seem to be working fine. But then again, maybe I need to go troubleshoot. I was wondering why this would have been working just fine for the last 3 months and then just start to display the error. Can you think of any reason? I am wondering if I will need to make the change on the other sites as well. If you have any thoughts, then please share.

Hello Michael,

We are sorry but we can't conclude why the PHPmail has failed. Some of our customers also have the same issue. Only change it to SMTP will solve it.

Hello Michael,

It really depends on how your hosting provider setup the mail service on the site. If you are on Godaddy, you should check it with them and get the appropriate settings for the site This is not something that we can "forcefully" configure because it really depends on how the server is being setup
