I installed the OneSignal Push Notifications app but was not able to fully get it configured at onesignal.com because I needed to have at least one subscribed user. I was not able to figure out how to opt-in to notifications from my front end after logging in.
I put my OneSignal access information into my Site Details area

Thank you. I see you were able to see notifications. Good. I have not seen any yet. One thing I did notice is that the notification you received was not using the image that I uploaded to them.

Not sure that I understand you here Sean but the screen shot that Arlex sent is a notification popup from the browser with your profile picture. Do you mean the profile picture is incorrect?

Thank Mark for your reply. Yes, the image that is displaying that I see in his screenshot is a profile of a white head on a grey background. But, our actual image which I placed a path to in the configuration at OneSignal was a different image located at

Your logo would only appear if we did not specify an image when pushing out notifications. We actually use the person's profile picture to as the picture to give it a more personal touch rather than it being a little spammy

This is why you are seeing the default avatar picture.

Thank you Mark,

I think I am still not understanding something then. Whose profile picture are you pushing out?

When I receive my notifications on my screen from StackIdeas I see a cute little logo on the left.

When I set up the profile at OneSignal they asked for in image which we put in.

Are you saying that each person who 'subscri9bes' will see their own personal avatar?

I had assumed we would be able to set up an icon that would be displayed on all of the notifications.

Here is the image that I configured within OneSignal.com as the Default Notification Icon URL:

Hey Sean,

Mark : Your logo would only appear if we did not specify an image when pushing out notifications

What my colleague Mark mentioned is correct, if the person subscribe OneSignal notification on your site, it will push a notification to the new subscriber and show your default icon image as well, you can check my attached screenshot below.

I think I am still not understanding something then. Whose profile picture are you pushing out?

It will show that person avatar who like or comment on your status.
For example :
User A comment on User B status, User B will receive the notification then this notification image will show User A avatar.

When I set up the profile at OneSignal they asked for in image which we put in.
I had assumed we would be able to set up an icon that would be displayed on all of the notifications.

Nope, that default image icon will only show if the notification do not have specify any image.
For Easysocial, it will always pass in user avatar image into OneSignal notification.

If you would like to set only show your default image icon, you can modify on this file -> JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/onesignal/onesignal.php
