You said the same thing two major releases ago. This should be a SIMPLE feature. It's certainly a BASIC feature that literally every other forum program has.

We do not guarantee feature requests to be released on new major releases because it is impossible to implement them all. Plus, although a feature may sound simple, it can be difficult to implement as we need to make sure it does not break other various features on the extensions as well.

This is why feature requests are posted into the feature request category, so that the developers can go through them to see which to implement in new major releases.
