Hi,

So I am playing around ConverseKit in my dev site and it's messing around with jQuery I guess since I am having issue with chosen plugin. Check attached capture. jQuery and chosen plugin script files are all loaded but it is saying that .chosen() is not a function.

I tried to move ConverseKit plugin ordering to the last in the list of system plugins but it still not working. But if I turn off ConverseKit plugin, the error goes away and some other weird console errors as well.

Thanks,

Jackson
Hi Jackson,

Kindly provide FTP access for further debugging.

Thank you.

Hi Keren,

I'm sorry I can't provide FTP and I am testing ConverseKit in my staging server.

I just had the chance to check what are the scripts loaded when ConverseKit plugin is enabled and seems like ConverseKit is loading another jQuery at the end.

https://screencast.com/t/bzTswZGkpp9

Is that necessary? Or does ConverseKit using a modified version of jQuery? Can it now just use Joomla's version of jQuery or use ES's jQuery?

That is causing issues in my site. You guys are so good with this, making your components play nice with outer Joomla components. Now this one is making conflicts

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Jackson,

You may disable Conversekit from rendering its own jQuery using these steps:

go to backend : /administrator/

Extension -> plugins -> search for Conversekit ->Render jQuery Library (set to No).

By doing this, Conversekit will use EasySocial's jQuery rather than rendering its own.

Thank you

Hi Keren,

Ahah! That fixed that issue. Thanks!

Is this something new to the latest version? I don't remember having an options in the plugin before.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi Jackson,

You are most welcome. Glad to hear that your issue has been resolved now.

We had the option for jQuery rendering in the previous versions too.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
