In ES how does another Registered User respond to a conversation comment?

Sorry if it sounds silly but I'm looking at the page abnd can't figure it.

N
Hi Nev,
If you mean reply to a conversation, only participants in a conversation can create new replies.
To access the conversation page, you can find the conversation icon in the toolbar or in your profile dropdown from the toolbar: http://take.ms/fodqF
If you still have trouble accessing the page perhaps you can activate and update your backend access so I can look into it?

Hi Raymond ,

Thanks for your reply.

Mine appears different to your sample.(please see attached screenshot)
I found I could reply using 'Compose'
When I click on view all the pop-up window simply closes.
Where may I manage this?

Hi Nev,
I`m not too sure what is causing the popup window to close. Maybe you can try opening the 'View All' in a new tab?
Also you can just click on any of the conversation in the list there to head to the page of the corresponding conversation.
When you click on your avatar on the toolbar, there's also supposed to be a dropdown where you can see "Conversation".
If you still cannot access the conversation page through these few ways. You should provide me your frontend access so I can better help you locate it.

Hi Raymond,

I'm not able to replicate your drop-down when I click on the envelope icon.

There are two options in my envelope drop-down.

Compose & View All.

Compose enables user to respond OK√.

View all is a dead link and simply closes the drop-down.X

Am I missing understanding something?

Is it supposed to do this?
Is there a Module or Plugin that could make changes? I could not identify any Module or Plugin that appears to be associated.

Are there settings in ES Components?

Clicking on Conversation itself works OK as it should.√
Clicking on Avatar takes participant to conversation stream OK.√

The issue seems to be:
1/ The appearance of the drop-down is different.(Is it supposed to be?)
2/ When logged in participant click View All it simply closes the drop-down.

Regards,

Hi Nev,
1/ The appearance of the drop-down is different.(Is it supposed to be?)
If you compare my screenshot and yours, they dropdown are from two different things. Mine is from the user avatar icon whereas yours is from the Conversation icon. So that's why it's different. Your conversation dropdown is displaying fine.
2/ When logged in participant click View All it simply closes the drop-down.
This is not supposed to happen as I already tested in my local. It is supposed to bring you to your conversation list page. I can investigate this for you but I need your backend access because the access you provided is not working.

Hi Nev,
Can you provide super user access because I cant seem to login your frontend and the backend has limited configuration currently. I need super user access to replicate and troubleshoot the missing "View All" page, and also test the conversation process. I appreciate your understanding on this.

Hi Raymond,

I'm sorry for the delay in responding.

I have been experiencing major issues updating to Joomla Joomla! 3.6.1 because the Joomla! update component is broken due to a SQL error and I'm not sure if it may impacting on my site.

Also a backend white page issue on another 3party plugin.
The other 3 party provider is looking at this now.

When he's finishes I will give you an updated access to debug the ES issues.

Thank you for your patience and I will reconnect soon.

Regards,
Nev

Hi Raymond,

Update FYI.
The Joomla update of 3.6.1 contributed to killing the site. (It had bugs)

I will reload from the backup prior to that and then make some changes.

If all works ok I will then provide access codes so you can look at troubleshoot the ES issues.

I may have to make a new build on localhost because I don't know how to fix the parsing error SQL of the timestamp mismatch which has disabled the Joomla Update Component.

Thanks for your patience.

I hope to give you an update you soon.

Meantime I hope you have a great weekend

Regards,
Nev

Hey Nev,
Thanks for the update. I am now able to access your backend just fine.
Back to your main issue. It seems the "View All" button is working fine and directing to the Conversation Inbox page as expected. I made a video on it, check it out.
