Can anyone explain the point of "Contributed In" as opposed to "Category" ?

I may have my blogs (several teams) set up incorrectly, but whenever someone creates an entry it seems to go to "Site Wide", and there's no obvious way to get the post to show up correctly.

Very frustrating.

Hope someone can shed some light on this feature.

Thanks,

Brian
Hello Brian,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. "Contributed in" is actually different than posting your blog post in "categories". The difference is pretty simple, in EasyBlog we allow you to create team blogs and you can restrict access to team blogs. The "Contributed In" is meant for this. If you don't use the team, you should just leave it as "Site Wide"

I guess that my confusion is that when filling in a blog entry, I don't see a way to alter the value of "Contributed In".

I have users who are members of several teams, and they create blog entries; they create a new blog entry and want to specify the relevant team, they might create a second entry and want to specify a different team... The problem is that the entry gets a default value of SiteWide, and it does not get published to the relevant team blog resulting in confusion and frustration.

I cannot find a way to alter the value of "Contributed In", and I don't really see a way to specify it in the first place either. Clearly I am missing something at a fundamental level about how and why "Contributed In" works.
