Content Plugin does not exclude Categories for Comments

In the plugin "Content - EasySocial" the option "Category Exclusion" does not appear to exclude the rendering of comments as one might expect. In my article titled "Staff" you can see the comment section: https://peakfun.com/staff

Ideally the comments should not show based on the specified exclusion in the plugin options.
The category exclusion is specifically for the "author box" only. It does not include comments

On a site note I tried updating the plugin just in case (for some odd reason it wasn't showing up in Extensions > Manage > Manage). Now the option to exclude categories doesn't show. I'm guessing the following page has an outdated zip file of the content plugin? https://stackideas.com/apps/item/8-articles

The Zip file give you access to version 1.0.5 which is supposedly is compatible with up to ES 1.2.

Because that settings was created for the author box as people only wanted to exclude that box from appearing on specific categories.

We'll need to update the article app on our app store as currently the article app is included in the extension by default but we' are going to slowly remove apps from the package. In the future apps should be downloaded from our site rather than being installed automatically.
