There are not even the notifications that alert you to the comment (push and easysocial notication)

1) I am able to replicate this locally new comment stream item. Will log this in our tracker so it can be addressed. You can provide us ftp access if you want a temporary fix.

2) You can override the following language constant:
APP_USER_BLOG_STREAM_COMMENTED="%1$s commented on %2$s"

The comments in EasySocial is actually in sync with EB's built-in comments.

You can try switching EB's comments to use the built-in comments and you should be able to see the comments posted from ES as well(http://take.ms/TKf0b, http://take.ms/cyG4W).

The ftp access works now. I have provided a temporary fix for the category translation in the file below.
JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/blog/themes/default/streams/preview.comment.php

Can you help us double check and see if the category is translated properly now for new comment stream items?
