The stream anywhere is actually for dedicated pages. You can think of this as something like a comment listing.

Stream anywhere module on page A will only show stream items created under page A.
Stream anywhere module on page B will only show stream items created under page B.

The normal stream module on the other hand is just for showing stream items from the timeline. You will see the same stream items on any page.

Thank you, the module stream anywhere appears to do exactly what I wanted, but there is one downside. Small changes in the url seem to break it. For example
