Hi there,

Currently I am working on a new website (migration from a non Joomla site) on http://crm.graphiqs.nl/. On the url http://crm.graphiqs.nl/nieuws I have a few news items and one of them is called 'Verfrissend' kerstconcert'. It shows one image on that page. I would expect that the image size of that image is set in the Theme settings, in my case theme Radium, and then the tab 'Blog images' and then number 3 (frontpage 280x210). But after testing a lot I came to the conclusion the image size is set in 'Settings-Media' and then on the right side at 'Thumbnails'. This setting is also used when you click on the blogitem and open the full article. But I would expect that also being set in the Theme settings.

So my question is, what is the purpose of the Theme blog image settings when it uses the Thumbnail size settings.

Thanks,
Ewoud
Hello Ewoud,

The theme's blog image settings is used entirely / purely for blog images (The blog image that you selected when you write your blog post as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/i8s89V4zNt ) . The thumbnail settings is used when you embed the image from media manager into the blog post's content.

Thanks Mark for clearing that up. Sounds logical

One more question. Why does the image of the article 'Verfrissend' kerstconcert appear on the 'frontpage' while it is not a blog image but an embed image that can be found after the first paragraph of the article. Or is this a setting that it search for any image in a article and then it show that image on the 'frontpage'?

Hello Ewoud,

Sorry for late reply to this,
If I'm not wrong, you have configure the truncation from your frontpage + set show image in frontpage ?
If yes, you can set to Position of images after truncation - Do not show items on frontpage
Check my screenshot below. Hope this help.
