Could this be a bug?

If not, where is the configuration located to remove the extra URL displayed?

For example: if a member submit a youtube link it shows:

the unformatted youtube URL
ES link to youtube
thumbnail video with description

I tested this using the demo and I've attached photos to explain
es1.png = default ES
es2.png = request to remove extra URL for cleaner look
es3.png = how about full video embed?
Hello Peter,

If you are posting a link in the status update, the link would then appear in the content. If you use the Attach > Link and insert the link, there's no content that appears on the stream apart from just the link information.

As for the full video embed, there's a reason why we do not display all the videos at once initially unless you click on the play button (the image on the left). The reason is simply because if there's 20 users sharing videos on your stream, the page will be extremely slow.

I understand the full video embed now.

Just a thought ... shouldn't attach > link and link posting be the same format? Was there a reason for this to be different?

If I'm not mistaken, many users don't use attach > link often. They simply just post URLs.

Hello Peter,

It's actually the same behavior just that when you paste a link in the status box, we simulate the Attach > Link so your user's don't have to really click attach
