Hello,

In the Vanilla settings, if I select Compress CSS and Compress Javascripts, the front-end is displayed very badly.

If I only enable Compress Javascripts, the button that displays the sidebar does not work (and maybe other things too).

So maybe we should not propose these settings to the user, or correct the incompatibility bugs.

Thank you,
Philippe

Hi there,

Thanks for reporting this. We're very sorry for the inconvenience caused. I have created a ticket to our developer and it will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks and have a wonderful day ahead.

P/S: This is the reason we release a beta version. So that user can test our products in their own environment. Sometimes the issue is not visible from our end. Cheers

Hi Phillipe,

I cant replicate this issue from our end. All works fine. Perhaps, your browser already caches the site. Try clear your site and browser cache.

Please advise.

This time I have cleared the cache of my browser.

I think the problem comes from Admin Tools. I disabled it completely to see, and the problem was no longer present.
Now I do not know what to set in Admin Tools.

Currently Compression Settings are disabled.
I update my Joomla backend and FTP access at my first post.

Thank you Modh.

Hi Philippe,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. I have figure out cause and I believe it is coming from your htaccess. When I disable the htaccess, the site load correctly.

When you compress the css or js for the Vanilla template, it's basically will gathered all the files required and place them in a master file. This master file is located under this directory: /cache/com_templates/templates/vanilla/ . Because of your htaccess restriction, your site cannot access this file.

So, to fix this issue, you'll need to remove htaccess restriction to this directory: /cache/com_templates/templates/vanilla/ .

Please give it a try and let me know how it go. Thanks.

In Admin Tools, .htaccess Maker, then Allow direct access, except. Php files, to these directories, I added the following line :

cache/com_templates/templates/vanilla

And it works !
Thank you Modh !
