Hi,

When I copy a paragraph of text (from somewhere online) and paste it into a 'text' block, all paragraphs are removed and text is is one continuous sentence. I've tried 'paste as plain text', and Ctrl+V. Also tried various browsers. What's strange though is that if I paste the text into a table cell it works perfect?

Joomla 3.6.4
EB 5.0.41

Is this normal behavior of EasyBlog?

Thanks

Yes, it is a normal behavior to strip off those formatted text. Why? When you copy contents for instance from proprietary software like Microsoft Office, it contains very weird characters that cannot be parsed by normal HTML browsers. These proprietary codes are only read-able by Microsoft's tools.

Thanks Mark. I understand about the special characters Microsoft add however I'm copying from a website.

It's not so much the html characters being stripped but the paragraphs. They aren't stripped if I paste into a table though. Only a text block.

The problem there is no way to detect if it contains proprietary codes from Microsoft or HTML elements. Proprietary tags from Microsoft uses the same html syntax as well just that it has very strange and odd attributes.

Looks like it could be a bug with the table block. It should also strip out formatted contents.

Just a friendly reminder about this bug I can post in in a different category if there is a 'bug' section?
