Hi Stackideas,

I have some problems in the correct alignment of my text and headers.

I have just a clear post with the sequence header- text - header- text - header -text.
However, the alignment differs per paragraph (see example).
And further, I cannot align a header just above the associated text. There is always some white space,

I suppose I am doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what !??

Kind regards, T. W. van Urk
Hey There,

i've try you step to produce you issue and this i get in my post.see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/RMu30SVjG

The alignment from text1 to text 2 seem ok for me. anyhow i will consult with our designer and developer to check this and we will include this fix in next release version.

Hey there,

I can't seem to find the article in your screen shot. Can you at least paste the link to the article which you are referring to. We are not Dutch and we do not understand Dutch either. We are just trying to open up every single blog post and find the post in your screen shot.

Secondly, you did not assign a domain for your license. Kindly please set the domain for your license

Hello Mark,

I have added my domain now to my account. Sorry I didn't it before :-(.

In my Site Access information, I have added the Url http://www.kruwt.nl/stockfotografie/wat-is-stockfotografie. Also you can find there my inlog codes. The site is still not public.
In the admin environment, the post name is "Wat is stockfotografie"

I have made another test post at the Homepage. This one has the same problems with the alignment between headers and text.
Unfortunally the language of my site is Dutch. However, for the problem of aligning headers and text this does not matter!?
Hope this is enough information for you to understand my question.

Kind regards, T.W. van Urk

Hey there,

Hm, okay it seems like on some of the text, it contains paragraph tag while the last one doesn't contain a paragraph text. This is actually causing the problems. I am not entirely sure why the last one doesn't contain a paragrah tag but can you just remove and add another text block again ?

Ok, I did your request at the test post at my homepage.
Unfortunally, no result. The text alignment holds the same gap.

p.s. You can edit and try it with the test post by yourself. This is only dummy text and after the solving of this question, the test post will be deleted.

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

It seems like some of the paragraph included <p> and some of it don't have <p> and causing this issue as my colleague mentioned in earlier, so I have tried to copy your existing paragraph content and paste in another my test post then paste it back to your original post (Wat is stockfotografie).

Can you give it a check now is it okay now?

Hmmmm…, it seems something strange with hidden paragraphs is going on. I have done the following tests:

1. Adding two new text blocks with dummy text …text 1 and text 2 (Figure 1). The gap between the text blocks is visible.
2. Added an image block next text 2. (Figure 2) The gap is visible like you showed before.
3. Copied both text blocks to a plain editor (Notepad) and copied the text back (figure 3). Both ‘gaps’ are gone.
4. Added a header between the two text blocks (Figure 4). The spacing between the first text block is smaller than between the second text block. I expected it contrariwise !?

So my conclusions !?
1. New textblocks has 'hidden paragraphs’ around it.
2. New headers the same with less spacing at the top side, and more spacing at the bottom side.

For now, I can handle this problem with copying the text vice versa with notepad, but it is something laborious. And, is this a malfunction of my website installation, or is this a common issue?

Thanks for your attention!

Hey there,

Ah, okay I think the issue here only happens when you copy / paste text from a rich editor? Here's the problem with the composer. We can't strip out contents that are posted from a rich editor and these issues are often handled by WYSIWYG editors using "paste from word" tool.

Since our composer does not have such button, this is where we are stuck Rich editors like Microsoft word uses proprietary tags.

Hmm, I have done the test from within the composer. No copying from an external editor. Repeated the test with a brand new post with the default blank template.

How do you reproduce this? Can you list down the steps you took?

Hi Mark,

The steps I have mentioned in my post of Januari 08, 04:24 AM.

So, I created a new post with the standard blank template. And after that, the steps 1 to 4. The example of januari 8 was already made with a blank template, and only from within the composer.

For now, I know to handle the text blocks. However the alignment of the header is more tiresome. The distance between the upper text block is less than the distance between header and the lower text block. Visually I like these to be switched.

Kind regards, T.W. van Urk

Ok, I have a different alignment (sie figure-4 last post) but maybe it is a malfunction of my installation.
It appreciate the check by your developer. Maybe another release some better results. :-)

Thank you all for your support!
