did you compared the "Home" Menu Component Heading Position with the one in EB Greeni Theme? i try to achive that EB is able to show the default css class for componentheading from my Joomla Template and do not only use there own position! how shall i get a clean Layout for Page Headings if it's in EB not the same position like for example in Home Menu!?

Hello Rene,

EasyBlog does not add a menu heading as the heading settings is purely on EasyBlog's template itself.

hi mark, as you can see i'm during customize of new responsive template for my site and i try to add the module heading style also for each componentheading. if you go to Home Menu then you see how Page Heading are looks like. but it does not work for stackideas components, because joomla menu page heading is not on top like for example Home menu. so that's my problem..

Hello Rene,

We do not render the menu page heading like Joomla. The heading in EasyBlog is entirely different

hi khairul..i have a general question..is easyblog a joomla component? if so then remains the question why do you not follow joomla standarts and offer a additional joomla pageheading!?

Hello Rene,

It is a Joomla component but it does not mean that we have to follow every thing exactly as it is. Are you saying that we should rely everything to be like Joomla including it's own media manager?

I would say yes to that.

It creates constance. I've noticed that you know generate the page heading, great. However, you're generating it as an H2 when it should be an H1 ?

Hello Danny,

Most Joomla templates would actually render H1 tags themselves and this is why we fall back to use h2 instead to avoid compatibility issues like this.

Hi,

The point of using the Joomla page header "IS" to use the Joomla H1 style (so ALL our page headings are the same; constance). This is an acceptable workaround/alternative to using your component's header which isn't the same as that (that's OK when you give the site admin the opportunity to choose if he/she prefers using the default h1 style).

The problem is that now, if one wants all his page heading to be the same, he needs to hack your files to replace it with an H1 or, alternatively add a module above that page with an H1 one in it. We never should have to resort to hack a component file as that creates a nightmare when updating components.

Hello Danny,

There are so many different Joomla template's out there and we can't really have a different heading for each different template. Perhaps it would be ideal if we allow admin to choose the heading style.

That would be a perfect solution :-)

No problem, thanks for being receptive and open minded. That's how components such as yours stay on top of the best component lists (which it is)
