It would be nice, if, instead of all your components having their separate profile areas, you could have the individual components required info appear in the Joomla profile area under specific headings. e.g. "blogger information, discussion information".

I have a component installed that adds a profile / avatar image for each user in the joomla profile area. I then hack other components avatar specific routines, specifically gravatar functions, where I incorporate the avatar from said component. Works like a charm! Only one place to add your avatar. Makes more sense to me! Better organization!
