A 403 error appears when clicking on any Community Advanced Search link in the About Tab for any Page, Group or Event or any similar link within the Community Area on the website (for example click on Title, Date/Time or Event Days on this event

The Boolean, Dropdown List, Date/Time and Text Box custom fields appear as a link, not sure why as i expected them to be normal text.

I thought the problem was just Events/Groups/Pages as that is the area i was working on, but it is all links where .../community/search/advanced/?type=.... with a long url field appears at the bottom of the screen when hovering over the link.

I have joomla smart search plugin disabled as there are enough search options in the components i use and the joomla search component is not used (appears as a white screen in admin anyway), not sure if that has any relevance to the problem.

If you could help to fix please.
Hi Richard,

The reason you are getting the 403 error is because this line in your htaccess file is restricting something in the url(https://take.ms/OHfrKO), I believe it is due to the presence of the character "|".

You have to remove or comment out that line in the htaccess file if you want to allow those links to load properly. If you are unsure about this, you can consult the person who modified the htaccess file for more advice or alternatives.
The Boolean, Dropdown List, Date/Time and Text Box custom fields appear as a link, not sure why as i expected them to be normal text.
The reason those custom fields appear as links is because in their setting under the workflow, the 'search' option is enabled(https://take.ms/rDDcc).

The link basically allows users to quickly execute an advanced search on fields that contain similar values. If you do not want them to appear as links, then you have to disable this option for those fields in their respective workflows.

I have checked your Joomla search component and found that it is caused by an old EasyBlog plugin(Search - Easy Blog Comment).

I have helped you disable the plugin(https://take.ms/w9lcY) so you should now be able to access the backend search component page(https://take.ms/BOCwQ).

Thank you Raymond, all your help is much appreciated.

I have turned off the search in the relevant custom fields (should have noticed that before, sorry) and will check with SiteGround to fix/update the line in htaccess.

I have just completed a major design update of the website (events/groups/pages were the last item) so will tidy up/disable any plugins/other admin content etc that are either old/not used/not relevant anymore.

Everything is fine now, thank you again for your help!
