I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

The reason why we changed this behaviour is because a lots of user request to have truncation from this comment listing page in previously. So far you are the only one person to request do not have truncation in this section.

Perhaps you can submit to change this behaviour into our forum here https://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog/feature-requests , so we will see if there a lot of user do not like this truncation from the backend comment listing page, then we definitely will see what we can do this in the future.

For now, if you want to show full comment, you can download my attached file and replace into
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/themes/default/comments/default.php

A view to be able to read all pending comments and then approve or delete this way is much easier than having to click into each one this way.

If you have a lot of pending comments, I think it makes more sense to read them individually, otherwise you are looking through a ton of text and you really wouldn't be able to read through them. This is why it was made as a link to review the comment so that the moderator would be able to focus on what he / she is supposed to be filtering.

My blog comments typically are under a paragraph or less, so in the case you mention, this is never been an issue for me. Having quick easy access to read through all pending comments at once is something I have loved over the years.
