- how are the comments on the posts treated (index / noindex - follow / nofollw)?

Currently, our EasyBlog comments treated as 'nofollow' as you can see here http://take.ms/Zl824.

- and is there a setting in the backend where you can adjust / change this?

Currently, there are no setting to change this But it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.
