Dear Stackideas,

I've setup my blog that it's viewable for everyone.. also guests (and/or public... i dont understand the difference between the roles) can view the full blogpost when they click it.

But when i'm not logged in (registered user) i can still see the comments under the blog (SEE SCREENSHOT). However there is a nice header above them that says comments are not available for public users.

What option do i have to check to hide them until logged in? also guest shouldn't see a guest account under the comments were it states "you do not have permission to post comment.".. that's unnescesarry

Thanks!
Hey Gain,

Opps, I forget this fix is not included in Easyblog 5.0.21 yet.

Because I remember I request you update to latest version then it overridden these files.

By the way, can you download my attached file then replace into :
JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\comment\adapters\easyblog.php
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\comments\form.php
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\comments\default.php

Hello,

The best way I can describe the difference between Public and Guest (in Joomla) is:
Public = Guests See It & Registered Users See It
Guest = Guests See It & Registered Users Don't See It
Registered = Guests Don't See It & Registered Users See It
Hope that helps a little.

Now, to hide comments completely from Guests I think you want this:
From Joomla administration panel go to Components -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> Comments -> On the "General" tab in the "Comments" box, set "Allow Guests To View Comments" to No

Hope this helps you!

Hey Gain,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we are currently having a Joomla conference here in Malaysia and most of the team are involved in the preparation.

Did you try CC suggestion at above? And see how it goes?

By the way, thanks for sharing CC
