Is it possible to comment on other users profile?
Is it possible to show in the activity stream if somebody commented on a public photo?

Thanks for your feedback!
Yes, and Yes. I believe these two featured are activated by default. I tested them just now to confirm this. It's also well thought out too! Instead of showing separately the newly uploaded photo and the new comment, it shows them together.

Okay, just tested it - it is working fine except for migrated photos from Jomsocial. Comments and photos are not shown in the stream.

Hello Horst,

Perhaps it's due to the privacy of the photo / photo album?

Hi Mark,

I checked the privacy but they are all public - the albums are my own ones - could this be the reason?

Hello Horst,

Hm, not too sure though. We'll need to check this. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi Horst,

I am sorry for the late reply.

Regarding your issue with the photos and photo's comment not show in the stream, I've fixed the issue on your site. Now the photo stream is displayed on your site. Please verify again.

As for the photos comments, currently the migrator will only migrate the comments from JomSocial into EasySocial but the migrated comments will not generate stream. I will see if I can quickly add this into next release of EasySocial or not.

Thanks and hope this help.

Hi Horst,

I am sorry for the confusion. After further checking on EasySocial, when someone comment on something in EasySocial, EasySocial actually will not generate activity stream. If you are seeing any comments activity stream, those are added from the komento system when you enabled the integration with EasySocial. So back to your original question:

Is it possible to show in the activity stream if somebody commented on a public photo?

this is not possible at the moment

Hello Horst,

You can actually download Komento for free if you want to test it first You can download it from http://stackideas.com/komento/plans

Sorry for asking again - only to clarify : also with Komento installed it is not possible to read an activity stream for a photo comment. The comment field below photos is a different one than Komento's.....because I installed the red version of Komento and the only comment field available is below Joomla Articles.....

Hello Horst,

Komento doesn't add a comment form in the albums area because the albums area utilizes the built-in comment system. Perhaps this could be a good idea for the upcoming releases of Komento so that we could allow it to display it's own comments form in the albums / photos of EasySocial.

That's a neat idea. That way the "newest comments" module from Komento would display both article comments and activity comments.

Hi - asI migrated from Jomsocial - it would be a great idea to make the comments from photos, albums visible in the activity stream......maybe with Komento or with the original ES comment field. Thanks again for your great support!

Hi, I just renewed Easyblog and tried to get Komento working with Easyblog and EasySocial. I didn't get it working that Komento is writing an activity (comment activity) to the EasySocial stream. The only thing I got working was the EasySocial comment below the Blog activity in the stream. But in case this would be very old nobody would recognize the activity in the stream. i would propose to show an activity that e.g. a user commented on a blog (EasySocial Comment and Komento should be able to do that)

Hello Horst,

Hm, if you are on the latest version of Komento, it does integrate with EasySocial's stream already. Did you also download the latest Komento app for EasySocial from http://stackideas.com/apps/item/9-comments ?
