Hello Easyblog,

I have set up an email address in 'settings - notifications', so I can moderate comments, and I am set-up in ACL to moderate comments, but the email notification is not sent to the email address.

We have waited 15 mins and checked out junk mail folder.

Any thoughts
Have you setup the necessary cronjob for EasyBlog yet? This is the current logics of our notification system:

1. When a user posts a comment, a new item is added into our e-mail pool.
2. This e-mail doesn't get sent out yet because sending emails is slow (Joomla needs to communicate with the external mail server).
3. When the cronjob kicks in (scheduled tasks), it picks up these emails from the pool and tells Joomla to dispatch the email.

You may refer to the guide at http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/cronjobs/cronjobs-cpanel to create the cronjob

Hi Mark,

Do you have a similar guide for Plesk?

Hi Mark,

That looks a bit scary:D . Is there no simpler way of setting up ,mail notifications without having to work on the server?

Hey Ian,

We do not have a setup for plesk but you should contact your host and they should be able to give you a better idea about this

By the way, please remember to assign your domain to your license to obtain for support in the future. You can do so by accessing your license area at http://stackideas.com/dashboard
