Hello,
I have a little problem with the comment form for blogs. I only wanted registred users to be able to post a comment. But the comment form is visible when not logged in. How can I hide that. I do want guest to be able to read the comments.
Hope you can help!
The login I add it just to see the front.
Hello Ineke,

You need to turn off the options highlighted here, http://screencast.com/t/3HjC7aEM9FF

Hello Mark,
Thank you for your quick reply. So, it's not possbile to guest read the comments, but making them to register/login when they want to write a comment?
This used to be possible as here: http://lotjeenco.nl/praat-mee/willemien/entry/willemien/sprookjes.html
As it is now, it doesn't make sense to turn off only "allow non menbers to comment", because now it syas you have to login as wel as "please leave a comment"
Any way to fix this?

Hello Ineke,

It is possible to do as you request. As you can see here http://screencast.com/t/3HjC7aEM9FF The first option is for creatign comments. The second option is for viewing comment. Set the first to NO and the second to YES and non registered member will be able to view comments but not create comments. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hello Ineke,

It looks like you have configured Joomla to use the group "Guest" for non logged in users. It should be "Public" since the "Public" identifies non logged in users as guest

Can you try this again?

Hello ineke,

Sorry for the late reply. I tried to check out your site and it seems like this is because of the latest issue in Joomla 3.2 where the public user groups is not save properly. I have gone to your backend -> Users -> User Manager -> Option and resave teh setting and now I can see your test comment here http://lotje.studioih.nl/site/blogs/willemien/entry/willemien/niet-vanzelf Hope this helps.

Thanks!
