Hello. I am using EasyBlog v3.9.15218 on a Joomla 2.5.14 site. I have set comments to be approved, but the specified email is not receiving the emails. I set the email address in Settings->Notifications->General Settings -> Custom Email Address. But the approval email is going to the Joomla admin email address at "". I am not sure what else to do. Is there another setting that I am missing. I want the approval email to go to "" .
Hello Latita,

That seems strange, it should not send to admin since you had check Use Custom Email as Admin Email to yes. Can you please provide us with the Joomla back end access as well as the FTP access so that I can check on the issues on your site? We actually need these information so that we can debug on your issues quickly.

Thanks:)

Hello Latita,

By default, Easyblog will ignore the custom mail for comment. It is only applied to new entries. However, if you want to use only the custom mail (if exist), you can replace the attached file (comment.php) in ..\administrator\components\com_easyblog\tables\comment.php. Please make sure to do a backup of this file before updating Easyblog.

Hello Latita,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have checked your issue and it seems like your email "latitafisher@gmail.com" is subscribed sitewide thus all new blog will generate a notification to this email. I have also help you fix the issue with the custom email. You will be receiving emails at the address you've set now. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Sorry guys, but this is still not working. Adelene replied saying everything was fixed, but I still do not receive the comment approval email at the email address specified "". The admin email ("") received the email again. So I tried Nik Faris solution by replacing the comment.php file with the one attached. When I did that , nobody received the comment approval email --the admin nor the email address I set. So I replaced the comment.php file with the original one. Something is still not working.
