Hi there

I just realised, that all counts for Comments and Facebook Likes are set back to 0. I didn't reset anything. Is there a way to get the counts back or sth like a "re-count" script?

Thanks
Hey Remo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It looks like you have configured EasyBlog to use multiple comment systems, both built in comments and Facebook comments.

Unfortunately there is no way to properly determine the count because we have no access to the comments on Facebook. I have turned off Facebook comments and only enabled the built in comments in EasyBlog and the comment counter is showing up correctly now.

hey Remo von Arx,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Unfortunately that was not possible to restore back, because this is not handle by us.

By the way, may i know what you did recently in your site?

For example :

1. Change your site blog URL format?
2. Change your site to support multilingual?

Because the Facebook like will not automatically get reset unless your blog URL structure changed recently.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Do you mean previously blog URL format is http://domain.com/blog/blogTitle

After you changed your webpage to support multilingual, so the blog URL format become http://domain.com/en/blog/blogTitle

Am i right?

If yes and if you would like to restore back these LIKE count, you have to revert back your previously blog format.

Because Facebook will only store the LIKE count in your previously blog URL instead of your current URL with the language code.

Perhaps you can try enable this option "Remove URL Language Code" from the System - Language Filter plugin and see how it goes?

Thanks for your answer.

Facebook-likes are back but Comment counts aren't. Is there also a way to do that for the comments?

Thanks

Could I ask you why?

I don't know if this possible (since I don't really know the database-table structure), but wouldn't it be possible to add a script, which recounts at least the comments on every post?
With this, you could avoid such incidents^^

I can provide you with Backend and FTP access but sadly no phpmyadmin (I can't even access it myself, since I'm doing the website for a company...). Can you do something without phpmyadmin?

Yes, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access in your dashboard pagehttp://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so that we can better have a check.

By the way, may i know these post comment data still exist?

Hi Arlex

I updated the first ticket post with the details for FTP and login.
Yes, the comments still exists. Take the first post "Danke und Feedback-Runde" as example.
