Greetings.
I am trying to combine all EasyDiscuss user profile pages into one page (please see image attached). how can I achieve this?
Hi Joomlafans,

Do you mean you want to combine the profile and edit profile page of EasyDiscuss?

Unfortunately this is not possible without making huge changes to the core files.

Hi
What if I don't combine the profile and edit pages. and instead I include a link in the profile page to edit profile (kindly see image attached). and another link in edit profile page to profile.

Hey Joomlafans,

Adding a link to those 2 pages is fairly straightforward to achieve. You would have to template override the following 2 theme files.
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/profile/default.php
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/user/edit.php

Thanks for your reply.

How can I combine the rest of the menu items in the screenshot above to the profile page? (my subscriptions, dashboard etc).

Hey Joomlafans,

You can refer to the toolbar theme file as it has the codes that are responsible for displaying those links in the toolbar dropdown.
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php https://i.imgur.com/3SUUdyB.png

Basically you would just have to port them over to the profile theme file which I have provided the file path in my earlier reply.

Thanks Raymond
Working on it as we speak.

You see when using a unified single site wide menu and mobile menu. it makes more sense to have everything related displayed in one page. its very user friendly and has a shorter learning curve specially for less tech-savvy end users. which I believe will result in less end user support questions and saves time for both the end user site developers. in my humble opinion this should be available as an option in a future EasyDiscuss Update?

Perhaps other Stackideas Community members can join and share their thoughts on this?

Hey Joomlafans,

To be honest I haven't seen anyone mentioning this so thanks for the feedback.

I would say its personal preference, perhaps some would like them separate and some like them combined like yourself, or some just wouldn't mind either.
