May i know how to you get this email notification from your user? Please advise.

It wasn't an email notification, it was on the notifications page in ES

the second problem I have also noticed. But i don't know sure how to recreate..

is it possible that this window is showing if you click on a notification from a uploaded photo by another user, which has already been deleted in the meantime this photo?
Because user get notifications of posting anything, while posts or photos were already deleted in meantime.. maybe this is the cause?

Can you try update to latest version of Easysocial and see how it goes?
Do you remember how your user update the group then you get that system notification "COM_EASYSOCIAL_GROUPS_UPDATES_SYSTEM_TITLE"? please advise.
