Hello,

There seems to be some issue with code in comments. When I insert code and click on "Submit", it shows up fine however on subsequent page visits / refresh, the code does not show in the comment. All I can then see is :

type="xml"

Not sure where the issue is

Further, in the Integrations->EasyBlog->Layout->Syntax Highlighter, no matter what theme I choose, I cannot see the preview (even after applying the theme). This is only a backend issue.

Regards,
Mangesh
Hello Arlex:

I just received a fix from the template developer. He made minor modifications to one of the css files and that has fixed the issue.

These are the modifications he made to tools.css within the template:

Replaced

.tag:before{

and
.tag:after {

with
.tag-body .tag:before{

and
.tag-body .tag:after {

Thank you so much for your support, patience and understanding.

Regards,
Mangesh

Hello Mangesh,

I am sorry. We are still configuring this issues.
Please refrain from sending us multiple tickets/threads requesting for the same issue as this would slow down our support's response and it can and will only lead to confusions.

Thanks

Hello Yaseer:

Are you being able to access the backend? I have checked it from my side and I guess the issue must be the URL you were using

Do let me know in case you are still having any difficulty accessing the site.

Hello Mangesh,

I am still cannot access your site.
But have added 2 files and a line of code in your site.
Added Files
:: prism.less
:: structure.php
Added line of code
@import "prism";

Now you can compile this stylesheet together by yourself because I cannot access your site. It just a simple things you need to do.
Backend > Components > Easydiscuss > Settings > Layout > General > Copile stylesheet = change to cache > Test compile stylesheets = Admin, Site, Module (test for all 3) > Change back to original >

Next clear Easydiscuss cache Dashboard > Clear cache and Joomla site cache Backend > Site > Maintanance > Clear cache.
Please clear your browser cache as well.

After that check your site and see if the issues are still persist.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Please check your site and do update us if this issues is still persist.
If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Please be advise.

Hello Yasser:

I checked the site thoroughly and I have mentioned my observations below:

Previous Issues:

1. The code is visible in EasyDiscuss as well as EasyBlog - Thanks. For a moment I was disheartened when it was taking so long....
1 a. There is this line across some of the code samples..... Is this a theme feature or a bug? Please see the screenshot attached. I see this only in Chrome and IE.
2. The code "Theme Preview" in Komento->Integrations->EasyBlog->Layout->Syntax Highlighter is still not working

New Issues:

3. A new problem has cropped up now - It was not there before - When you go to EasyDiscuss (From the Front End.... Home ->Discussions) and just move your mouse across the screen, especially over the discussion items, they flicker and the colours of a few EasyDiscuss items change... It is only as long as you keep moving the mouse. I have noticed this problem only in IE. It is a tad difficult to explain however if you can once check it out, I will be obliged. If you need, I can take a video and upload it (screen shots will not depict the problem).
4. In FireFox, some of the EasyDiscuss icons do not appear.... screenshots attached.

Awaiting your response.

Thanks and regards,
Mangesh

Hello Mangesh,

Regarding "line across some of the code samples", we believe this issues exist only in this template because we other template doesn't replicate this issue.

Next is regarding "Komento Syntax Highlighter". We are very sorry because this is a bug from our side. I have fixed this issue on your site and now it's working. Please have a look.

About "Easydiscuss item flickering and colors changing", may I know which version of IE does this problem occurs? We have tried to replicate this issues but nothing flickering. It would be nice if you can attach a video to us if it is not a burden to you.

Lastly, regarding "In FireFox, some of the EasyDiscuss icons do not appear", we are still configuring this issues. Hope you can understand.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hello Mangesh,

I found your root of the problem.
Two of your module are old module and outdated.
1. mod_leaderboard
2. mod_welcome

Currently I have disable these two module, and I want to ask your permission to update these two module to the latest or you can update these modules by yourself. If you have made any modifications on the modules, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hi Yaseer:

How much time will the FireFox issue take? Just wanted to check....

I have attached the video on IE errors so that the same can be fixed as well...

The site does look ok. Will check it thoroughly and revert shortly.

Please go ahead and upgrade the modules.... The only module I customized was the "Welcome" module. The "Register" link was changed to open in a lightbox and I will do it again. No issues.

Hello,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with the the font/icons not displayed correctly, We've added a fix on your LeaderBoard module the css file but when we load the page, the updated css code is not reflected. When i check the source, it seems like all the css files was compressed into one single file. Please see http://screencast.com/t/Lglt4rQSqw

Can you tell me how i can clear this compressed css file from your site so that I can test again if the fix working properly?
Please advise.

Hello,

Thanks for disable the cache from your site

Regarding your IE issue, is this issue only happen in IE11? Currently I do not have IE11 so I will need to download and then test again the issue. However, I tested with IE10 and it seems IE10 is working correctly. Please see http://screencast.com/t/n9nzxHWeY

I will get back to you as soon as possible after I installed IE11 and will let you know what is the outcome.
Thank you for your patient and your understanding.

Hope this help and have a nice day

Hello Mangesh Sambare,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Regarding with your IE11 video mentioned that issues :
>> I have tried to reproduce on your issues in IE11, but i can't replicate, please check my video here and see is it i missing something here? : http://screencast.com/t/Pag7o005y

Regarding with an error in the "code display" :
It seems like is your template causing this issues, i have applied some css fixes in your template css/custom.css file

.tag:before {
border-style: none !important;
}

pre:after {
content: none !important;
}

But I'm not sure that is proper fixes, could you mind to consult this with your template developer and see how it goes? Please advise.

Hello Arlex,

I have managed to identify the error..... probably the root cause for the code display errors.

The template has a default style for displaying code. In ED, what is happening is that the template is first styling the code as per it's style and then ED is trying to over ride these display options.

I installed the latest site backup on my local NGINX server and managed to capture 2 screenshots which explain the error. My local NGINX server is pretty slow as it runs in a VM and hence I could see the errors and capture them

The first screenshot (Template-Code-Styling.jpg) was taken immediately on clicking the discussion and the second screenshot (EasyDiscuss-Styling.jpg) was taken a few seconds later when the page had completed loading. The problem is evident.

I am not sure whether this is a template issue or an issue with ED. The way I understand and I might be wrong, the template displays the code properly (with the right formatting as per the template style) however when ED is trying to over ride the default template style, it is not being able to do so properly.

Having said that, if you still want me to get in touch with the template developer, I will give it a shot however I am not sure as to how much that would help! He will have no knowledge on how EasyDiscuss works and how you are trying to over-ride the styles.

Please advice.

Thanks and regards,
Mangesh

Hello Yaseer:

There are 2 issues:

1. On the page you first see the default template styling and then the ED styling takes over. For a few seconds till the page loads completely, the styling looks different. Screenshots provided in the earlier post.

2. On all codes, where ever there is a scroll window, you see a line (like a strike through) in the top - Seen In Chrome. In FireFox, there is no line however you see a wierd character at the top.

Please see the attached screenshots.

Hope this explains the issues.
