Hello,

2 questions:

1. Is there a way to exclude some code from a feed that is imported?

I have a feed that brings in a twitter button and a pinterest button which is not the ones that EasyBlog shows. Is there a way to exclude this so it looks cleaner? It is actually a div:

<div id="post-12565">
<div class="wp-socializer-buttons clearfix"><span class="wpsr-btn"> </span><span class="wpsr-btn"> <a class="twitter-share-button" href="; </a></span><span class="wpsr-btn"> </span><span class="wpsr-btn"> </span><span class="wpsr-btn"> <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdailyinfographic.com%2F3-common-time-wasters-at-work-infographic&media=http%3A%2F%2Fdailyinfographic.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F06%2Ff6f6c90e9720302e6a472375f34cfd14.jpg";><img style="border: 0px;" title="Pin It" src="http://feedproxy.google.com/assets.pinterest.com/images/pidgets/pinit_fg_en_rect_gray_20.png" alt="Pinterest" /></a></span>
</div>
</div>

2. I have a feed that is being put on the wrong page and I cannot figure out why. So I would need your expert eyes to look Please see the below page as this is not correct.

Your suggestions are welcomed. Thank you for your time.

Hello Rob,

I'm sorry but I'm a bit lost now. According to your reply here:
But the second one I am still concerned about could you look at why other posts are going into other categories as I cannot figure this one out.

May I know which post is this and which category it should be? Did you import it via Twitter or Feed importer? By the way, it would be safe if you can provide us the FTP access because we might modify your code to debug and there are possibilities that your site crashed and we cannot revert the changes through admin page.

Hello Rob,

As your first question, we are sorry but there is no setting to do that. May I know where are these feeds imported from? And the second question, I've checked the page and it seems correct to me. Can you elaborate more on it? Please advise.

Hello and thank you Nick for getting back to me. The first question pulls in feeds form the below link:

http://bit.ly/1makRwP (I shortened the link since it was long) I was hopping we could eliminate that div somehow.

On the second question - it looks like twitter posts were being posted from other posts and feeds that were being made - I changed the feed URL and will see if that changes things. Thank you.

Regards,
Nick

My apologies Nick but it seems that the feeds are being imported into the wrong category folder for some reason. Please look at the below link:

http://techlick.com/index.php/component/easyblog/9585-healthy-appetizers-chili-chicken?Itemid=164

This is not a recipe category. ValleyWag is a technical Angel Investor category and that link should not have gone there.

Valley Wag receives articles like the one below:

http://techlick.com/index.php/techlick/ars-technica/19074-how-quickly-a-genius-startup-can-tank

Is there a reason why the links are being cross posted with Twitter links?

Regards,
Rob

Hello Rob,

When you mentioned posted with twitter, did you mean this feature? http://screencast.com/t/4ugOBFnfsAga . I've tried to access you backend but failed. Please advise. And just in case, it would be easier if you can also provide us your FTP.

Okay the twitter links are good to go. I changed that setting - thank you for pointing that out. But the second one I am still concerned about could you look at why other posts are going into other categories as I cannot figure this one out.

I have updated the access and for FTP I use a Joomla component called extPlorer located in the Component menu in Joomla Admin area.

Rob

I am closing the ticket - I have found out that it is a random post and it gets posted by mistake. Thanks for your time.
