Hi

when i approve a post by a user it says
"this post has been published successfully" followed by a close button but theres no where to actually close it. please can this be fixed?

Also

One of my users posts is showing a password protection applied all the time and he's saying he hasn't done this - is there any way this could have been automatically set as an error?

thanks
Hi Nick Russell,

Sorry for late reply to this,

when i approve a post by a user it says
"this post has been published successfully" followed by a close button but theres no where to actually close it. please can this be fixed?

Do you mean one of the user submit a blog post and wait for admin approval, after that admin approve this blog post on frontpage dashboard? If no can you provide us with some screenshot regarding this?

One of my users posts is showing a password protection applied all the time and he's saying he hasn't done this - is there any way this could have been automatically set as an error?

I have a little bit lost here, what error should be display?
By right if the user didn't logout, he no need to re-type password again for open protection post, if he already access 1 time for this protection post.

Looking forward of your response.

hi

there are still a few issues on these areas

when i approve a blog it doesnt show as scheduled to be posted when i schedule it but instead it still looks like it needs to be approved -

one of the users blog posts are still being appllied with a password even though he has told me he isnt adding password protection. i must admit i am quite dissatisfied with the service i have received from the new easy blog -its making my life much harder!

Hey Nick,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I am not really sure if I understand you here about the approval process. This is how it works in EasyBlog.

1. When a user without publishing rights schedules a blog post. It will be sent for moderation first.
2. Upon approved, only then the system checks if the post is ready to be published or not.

As for the issues with the password protection, he needs to ensure that he doesn't have any passwords manager trying to autocomplete the password input. There's really nothing we can do about this because if they have a password manager, it always tries to populate the password field.

Hi

I understand the process, as it worked fine before the upgrade.

the blog posts which i am approving are still being displayed in my pending posts. they are listed here - i know for a fact that these blog posts have been approved so why am i still seeing them in the moderate page??? http://www.blatantlyblunt.com/index.php/Dashboard/Dashboard/Moderate.html

when i do approve a post it doesnt go back to the list of posts, nor does it give me an option to even close the window?!?! i have attached an image to illustrate this.

I cant believe how much time i have spent on this support forum since the 'upgrade'... i am very dissapointed to be honest

Hey Nick,

I am sorry that delay of this reply, I have checked in your site, it seems like your Easyblog still using the older version 5.0.11, may i know do you have any customization in your current Easyblog? Because I would like to update your Easyblog to 5.0.17 is because we already fixed a lot of issues in the latest version.

By the way, I can't access in your Joomla backend, it seems like you provided that login credential is not working.
Looking forward of your response.

Hi Nick,

I am sorry for the delayed.

What my colleague means by the customization is, if you have done any modification on the layout to display EasyBlog without template overriding, any modification on the EasyBlog core files, or if you have edit any files of EasyBlog, - these such modification will get overridden by the update process. If there is no modification/customization then we would assume it is safe to update EasyBlog to the latest. Otherwise, it is advisable to backup your site so that we didn't accidentally override it.

Looking forward to hear from you again. Please advise.

Hey Nick,

I'm sorry that I not quite sure what you mean "listen to music from...' unit on the left ".

By the way, I unsure that do you have customize any file in the following Easyblog directory location :
-> administrator/component/com_easyblog
-> component/com_easyblog
-> media/com_easyblog

If yes, perhaps you can temporary backup these folders, so that I can help you update to latest version of Easyblog and see this issues you reported is it still persists?

hey
//
i mean the unit on the left which i attached a screen shot of, does this count as a customization??

please can you do a back up of the site before doing the update? All i want is a site which works properly, and as a customer who pays an annual subscription i feel i am not getting this. You guys provide a great support service but the blog itself is not at a level which i need.

Please update the site to EasyBlog 5.0.17 once everything necessary has been backed up.

thank you

Hey Nick,

I am sorry that delay of this reply, i have help you updated to latest version of Easyblog.

Can you check this page http://www.blatantlyblunt.com/index.php/Dashboard/Dashboard/Moderate.html when the page load finish and click on the blog title, it should show the pop up instead of refresh the page. So when you approve that post, it should redirect back to your page.

Regarding with your second issue :
the blog posts which i am approving are still being displayed in my pending posts. they are listed here - i know for a fact that these blog posts have been approved so why am i still seeing them in the moderate page??? http://www.blatantlyblunt.com/index.php/Dashboard/Dashboard/Moderate.html

This issue already solved in latest version. To fix this, you have to re-approval again with these moderation post from your dashboard. Hope this helps.
