Hello,

yesterday we received the error in attach in our intranet home page and I think that is an EasySocial Error because I found the string SocialSQL in EasySocial files (in attach you can see the details).

In Our Intranet we have EasySocial 3.0.3

The SocialSQL class is really necessary or not?

Eventually how can I avoid the problem in the future?

Thank you for your support
Hi there,

It is quite difficult to determine the cause of the issue without investigating the site.

If you are unable to provide us a staging site to investigate this, can you switch to protostar template, enable debug mode from Joomla's global configuration, and trigger the error again so that we can see the proper error?

By the way, what page are you trying to load when you hit the error?

I can update EasySocial in my website to reproduce the problem and I can enable the debug mode if the problem appears again, but in any case the SocialSQL class is used for what?

Alright. Keep us updated on how it goes.
the SocialSQL class is used for what?
It is used to perform sql/database operations on EasySocial. Basically the class can be found in the following file:
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/sql/sql.php

If you can reproduce the issue, let us know how you updated/installed EasySocial and from which version so we can better understand it.

We updated EasySocial from the release 3.0 with the graphic wizard. In any case if it happens again we enable the debug mode.

But there is a log of EasySocial where I can see if there is errors logged? Because in the Joomla log I don't find EasySocial logs and for EasySocial I found only the Activity Streams and I don't have activity streams when the problem is happened.

Thank you very much for the support

Hey there,

May I know what you mean by 'graphic wizard'?
But there is a log of EasySocial where I can see if there is errors logged?
You can check your server's error log, the log where PHP errors are recorded. But the error stated here may just be a one-liner and may not be as detailed as the error that comes from debug mode.
In any case if it happens again we enable the debug mode.
Understood. Does this mean that the error is not occurring currently?

In attach you can see which type of installation I mean.

I tried to see in all PHP logs but I don't find the string SocialSQL

At the moment the problem is appeared only once time.

Thank you very much for the support

You're most welcome and thanks for the info.

By the way, this is what the error would look like if protostar template is used and debug mode turned on(https://take.ms/OXPve).

You can trace the files which led to the error, where certain times it may come from third party plugins or components. This is why taking a look at this error stack may be helpful for us to determine the cause of the issue.

In any case, update us if you experience the issue again or find anything new.
