Clarification of permalink feature in Applications: fields - What to fill in for permalink?

Each one of the fields in Application has the default settings.

What does an Administrator include in the blank Permalink field? It is currently blank.

Permalink: it is blank in default state - Clarification here?
State: YES

Tooltip: Permalinks are used when routing through apps. It helps with building search engine friendly URLs.

Hello Randall,

The "application"'s permalink is not really in use currently but in the future, we do plan to have a single page for apps (Not for fields though). So users can click on the app to view more details of the app and the URL would then include the app's permalink.

I believe Perma link is just like joomla 'alias'
Ie: if you set the Perma link to be 'randall', than the link to the app would look something like http:// www . Your website .com / community / Randall

Try it an see? Now that's a good plan. I now have some time to test things in EasySocial v1.2.3 tonight so I will be learning many new things by exploring.
