After updating EB/ED/ES/K to the latest versions, the Checking for Updates icon in the admin area for EB/ED/ES is going round and round.

The updates worked and the dashboard access is fine, just the updates icon not working.

Is it something i can ignore?
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I've checked in your site, actually that was known issue, we still looking for the solution for those site who using https, because your server blocked our non-ssl request to our site.

By the way, this thing will not cause any issue in your site.

Thank you for the information Arlex, as it was SSL causing the problem I just added a page rule in CloudFlare to turn it off for the Stackideas components in the Admin area and everything is fine now.

It may or may not be what anyone else with the issue wants to do, but it is a solution that works for me.

I am curious if you have come up with another solution for this problem. I also get the checking for updates just going around and around on my site that uses https. It did not do this previously.

I guess I could ask my host for help to do a workaround.

The page rule to use in CloudFlare is:

*yourdomainname.com/administrator/*
SSL: Off, Cache Level: Bypass, Disable Performance

Note
yourdomainname.com does not have the https:// part

If you do not use CloudFlare, use a similar rule with your CDN provider.

Perhaps you can try what Richard suggested and see how it goes?

If still not working, perhaps you can start a new thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so I can better have a check?

By the way, thanks for sharing Richard
