Dear support team

I hat the cron installed every 5 min. So all the time were notfications delivered, that there are unread messages.

So I tried to solve it, by only having the cron running every 30 min. But now users get several notifications, every 30 min that there are unread e-mail. (i.e. 3 e-mail notifications for 3 unread chat messages) This is as crazy or even wors than before.

What can I do to reduce the number of messages. Users should be informed it they miss a message (after 30 min or 1h) but not spamed with notification e-mails about every unread message.

May i know which extension you referring to?

Actually I am not really understand what do you mean by 'there are unread messages'?

And what is the reason why you change your cron time interval from 5 minute to 30 minute?

This tiket is in relation to Easy Social - Chat. The problem is like this:

User A writes to User B: "Hello"
User A writes to User B: "How are you"
User A writes to User B: " I want to ask you one more question"

User B is not online and misses the messages and receives the follwoing notifications by e-mail to his inbox:

New answer received: User A answered to your conversation. User A wrote Hello
New answer received: User A answered to your conversation. User A wrote How are you
New answer received: User A answered to your conversation. User A wrote I want to ask you one more question

So user B receives 3 e-mail notifications for this, but it is just one conversation he missed. His e-mal inbox is getting full of such notifications e-mails. He would be happy to receive one, but not 3!

I am also using the EasySocial App from AppCarvers and this makes the problem even bigger, because users tend to write shorter messages than on the web apk.

I hope you understand that this is getting anoying if users receive so many e-mail notifications on the same conversation.

Thanks for took your time to explained to us what is your current issue, I will log this into our issue tracker and see whether we can do something about it in the next release version.
